Earth Day Celebration Week: 22 April to 28 April

In order to celebrate “Earth Day Celebration Week”, children actively participated in following activities.
The children of class I and II took part in seed germination activity and tree plantation. Involvement of children in this activity intensified their knowledge about tree plantation and the natural process of seed germination.
The students of class III, IV and V knew about the best use of waste material. It was explained to them how best the waste material can be used and various artistic shape can be given to it. And this is the best way of disposing of waste material rather than throwing it.
Class VI to VIII took part in courtesy to bird activity. The students brought earthen pots and filled it with water and grains and this was made a regular routine. The lesson that human beings must have courtesy towards wild life was taught by practically performing above activity.
Keeping in view “Save Earth” theme, poster making competition and collage activity was performed by the students of class IX to XII. Activity so performed gave a message of “Save Earth”.

To conclude the Earth Day Celebration the student from class I to XII were taken to see “Jungle Book” movie to mark the occasion. It was a thrilling and mesmerising experience for the children.
